Vela (VELA) Mining Pool β€” Proof-of-Inference GPU mining

Mine Vela β€” the Proof-of-Inference blockchain where every share is a real sd-turbo-int neural-network inference on your NVIDIA GPU β€” on suprnova.cc: 1% fee, PPLNS, payouts every 15 minutes, our own fee-free miner supr-meow-vela, every share verified on GPU, low-latency stratum servers in Germany, Kyiv, Chicago and Hong Kong.

Vela Mining FAQ

What is Vela?

Vela (VELA) is a Bitcoin-Core-derived Proof-of-Work chain whose work is useful AI compute: Proof-of-Inference v2 requires a real int8 inference of the sd-turbo-int diffusion model for every block attempt. 5-minute blocks, 21 M max supply, a slow-start subsidy that ramps from 10 to 25 VELA over the first 25,920 blocks (~90 days) and then halves every 420,000 blocks; 10 % of every block goes to the protocol devfund by consensus.

How do I mine Vela?

Download supr-meow-vela and the model file from Start Mining, then run ./supr-meow-vela -o vela.suprnova.cc:7601 -u YOUR_VELA_ADDRESS.rig01 -p x --model sd-turbo-int.poisd (port 7604 with --tls for TLS). Your wallet address is your account β€” no sign-up.

What is the pool fee and when am I paid?

1 % fee, PPLNS over the last 5 rounds. Payouts run every 15 minutes once your balance is at least 0.01 VELA and the block has 101 confirmations. Every share is verified on the pool's own GPU, so rewards go only to real inference work.

Why are rates shown in inferences per second?

On Vela one unit of difficulty is one complete model inference, so hashes/s would be meaningless. Pool, network and miner rates are therefore inferences/s, and network difficulty is the expected number of inferences per block.

What GPU do I need to mine Vela?

Any NVIDIA GPU from the Ampere generation up (RTX 30/40/50, CMP 170HX, A100/A6000, H100/H200, B200, 6000 Ada / PRO 6000) with the R580+ driver. RTX 5090 or PRO 6000 β‰ˆ 125–135 inferences/s, B200 β‰ˆ 113, H200 β‰ˆ 92, RTX 4090 β‰ˆ 51, CMP 170HX β‰ˆ 31. AMD and CPUs are not supported.
